About Palladium Times Square

PALLADIUM TIMES SQUARE’S HISTORY

Palladium Times Square sits at the corner of 44th Street and Broadway, right in the middle of it all. We’re a live event venue in the heart of Manhattan built for concerts, special events, and experiences that belong in New York.

On any given night, the room might be filled with fans for a sold-out show. On another, it might host a corporate gathering, product launch, or private celebration. That’s what our space was designed for — flexibility, energy, and scale.

First known as the Loews Astor Plaza movie theater from 1974 to 2004, the movie theater was transformed in a $21 million renovation designed by architect David Rockwell. The venue reopened in September 2005 as Nokia Theater Times Square and has since been known as Best Buy Theater and PlayStation Theater.

Features

The venue features a large standing room orchestra section, a large seating area toward the rear of the auditorium, two private mezzanines, and a wrap-around lounge area featuring three bars.

Outside Palladium Times Square stretches its 85’ high def LED marquee that is one of the largest marquees on 44th and Broadway, one of the busiest intersections of the world.

A Venue Built for Live Events

We host a wide range of events, including:

  • Concerts and live performances
  • Comedy shows
  • Corporate meetings and conferences
  • Brand activations
  • Private parties and galas
  • Film screenings and media events

The layout can be configured for seated events, standing receptions, or full concert setups. Whether it’s a touring production or a private event, the space adapts.

Why Times Square Matters

Location changes the feel of an event.

Being in Times Square means easy access for guests, proximity to hotels and transit, and a setting that immediately feels like New York. For performers, it’s an iconic place to take the stage. For brands and planners, it brings built-in visibility — including our Broadway-facing marquee.
